The chain has been hit by falling sales while it also wrote down the value of its store estate in the face of tough market conditions

This surprised me as the Nelson one is always busy & they have just opened a Morrison's local in Barrowford, right next door to the local Spar, putting it out of business!!

We had a new Morrisons open a couple of miles up the road last year and about a mile from Waitrose, both shops look like they are thriving.

We have a Morrison's store opened near us last year and it is always busy, when I go in.
