Digital Champions get free tablets and laptops

Around 20 free tablets and laptops have been given out to Digital Champions so far this month as they help over 150 learners in just two weeks!


The kit has been made available as part of the new rewards scheme for the Digital Champions Network for Housing (DCN4H) which is supported by suppliers Happus, Novatech and Social Telecoms.


The DCN4H is Digital Unite’s training and support solution for developing effective Digital Champions in local communities. It currently has 21 member organisations including 19 housing providers and over 600 Digital Champions.


Following Digital Unite successfully securing funding from the Tinder Foundation as part of the Government’s Future Digital Inclusion programme, each DCN4H Digital Champion in England can now receive tablets, dongles, mifis or even refurbished computers for helping people online by March 2015.
