Do you have any memories of these washing machines?
My mum used to deliver them to peoples homes who would rent them for a morning to do their washing.
I used to go with her to help her lift the machines in and out of the van.
I can't remember how much they were to rent, but not very much.
It is hard to believe that now people have their own washing machine in the home.

I had one for the first few years we were married in the 60s, it is one of the only luxuries we had, we didn't have a tv, phone or car.

I had a washing machine like that when I first got married, used it for several years.
