I am writing on behalf of PDT Norfolk, a charity which aims to raise awareness of Photodynamic Therapy.
Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is an effective, targeted method of treating certain cancerous tumours. The treatment combines the use of a photo-sensitive drug (a photosensitizer) with laser light and is considered to be both minimally invasive and minimally toxic. When the drug is exposed to a specific wavelength of light, a form of oxygen is produced that kills nearby cancer cells.
An increasing number of PDT treatments are being recommended by NICE, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, but in Norfolk the method is only currently used to treat skin cancer. PDT Norfolk is keen to see the wider use of PDT treatment in our county’s hospitals, given the considerable success it has had in other areas of the UK.
I would be really grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete our survey about cancer and the treatments available. This will assist our efforts to widen the use of PDT in Norfolk and help more people with cancer. Simply click on the link below.

If you would prefer a printed version of the questionnaire please let me know.
The closing date for the survey is Tuesday 20th January, 2015.
Thank you very much for your help: if you are able to forward the survey link to friends, family and colleagues who may be interested in this subject area we would be extremely grateful.
With kind regards
