Central Locality Adult Community Service Development
Service User/Carer Involvement – Role Description
The implementation of the new Wellbeing Service across Norfolk and Waveney in September 2015 will have an impact on Central Adult Community Services, as there will be a movement of resources from Adult Community to Wellbeing. In order to prepare for this, a piece of work will be undertaken to develop the service and establish new ways of working. Service user and carer involvement is essential to the success of this work and the effectiveness of any changes made.
As a result, the Central Adult Community Service project is looking for a Service User and a Carer who have a range of knowledge, skills and experience to co-produce and support the work.
You will become part of the Design Team, working with Senior Clinicians, Managers and Peer Support Workers to have the opportunity to input in to the design of the new Central Adult Community Service.
You will have the opportunity to feed back information from the Design Group and disseminate back to the City and South Service User and Carer Locality Forum, creating the opportunity for wider consultation.
The following are guidelines regarding criteria and expected commitment of any involvement in the work.

* Ongoing/recent experience of Adult Community Services in the Central Locality.
* Experience of discharge from hospital and back to the Adult Community Service.
* Involvement in the CPA process

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS
NHS Foundation Trust
Additional Skills (helpful but not essential) –

Contributors will be asked to develop and comment on a range of service and operational projects. Specifically Service Users and Carers will be asked to co-produce a Service User/Carer satisfaction questionnaire to help monitor the work and evaluate the outcomes.
The time commitment is expected to be 1 hr. on a 2 weekly/monthly basis (either by email, in writing or at meetings). The first meeting will be held on Friday 16th January, at 10am in the Board Room at Hellesdon Hospital.
For people attending the Design Group, reimbursement for time and travel expenses will be paid at the Trust standard rate of £10/hr.
