I had to phone our local carers centre today and they asked when we close down for Christmas!!!
I replied we don't and it our busiest time of the year, but I don't think she had any idea, of who we are.

I expect they also think the family carer close for christmas and there caree recovers for the season.

Some of the people who staff these places have no idea what a real carer does
