Lancashire residents could be charged to recycle

Postby annie » 01 Dec 2014, 11:11

This is madness! It will just lead to even more fly tipping!! What do you think?

LANCASHIRE residents could be charged to recycle, under new cost-saving measures being introduced by the county council.

The authority is proposing to limit how much DIY waste people can dispose of for free at recycling centres, with charges being applied for any extra

And it is likely to happen in other counties around UK, these things tend to follow suit around councils.

Unbelievable!!

Try fining companies for excess wrappings they would make far more!

when they limited the amount you can take to our recycling center fly tipping went up and a lot of it in our canal. so i have a lot more to get out. Also because of small bins people chuck excess bin bags of waste in to as they are so thoughtless and litter bugs.
