I was a carer full time for my mother after a stroke and moved in to look after Mum for 3 years 24/7 with only a partial day off every 4-6 weeks when my brother visited. I am in mid 50's single and no other home and gave up my work/life to look after Mum. Now probate is going thro solicitors. My brother 3 years ago said I could stay in house after looking after Mum- now his tune has changed and threatens to evict me to get his full share. He and his wife worked full time and gave up little to help me in the care role. Non of the Carers agencies seem to know about such issues. Has anyone experienced such problems ?

After the role of a carer is so stressful but rewarding looking after a close relative- this is the last thing one should have to go through. It took me a year to get back on my feet after mum died after all the hassles with NHS and Hospitals and Social Services etc

I see that you have already contacted the carer agencies, did they suggest that you speak with a solicitor.
You should get the first hour free of charge.
Please let us know how you get on, and I hope other members will have some ideas.

What I would suggest if your brother is threatening to evict you is contact your local council/housing association and tell them your situation, also ask your brother you want it in writing, if you have that the Council may be able to help/advise you re housing, also as you are mid 50's get in touch with your local Age UK, they are very helpful.

my sincere condolences on the loss of your mum. I don't have any experience in what you are going through but Wendy and Mo's advice seems very good.
