What are your thoughts about patients paying for their hospital meals?
If they went out of the house, they would have to pay for a meal eaten elsewhere.
What about those who could not afford to pay?
But there are many that could pay and maybe would prefer to get better meals.
Be interesting to see what you think about this.

I don't agree with that at all.
Imagine being a long stay vulnerable person with a low income. You can see people not ordering meals or just one a day to save money.
It is part of your recovery to eat properly.
Then where does it end? A meter by your bed for the heating/oxygen/drip? you give in to one thing and they slide in a dozen other charges!
so short answer. no i don't agree!1 sp0

I agree with Jane, good food aids recovery & decent meals should be provided without charge

Our local hospital serve up food that I wouldn't give to a dog, when my husband was in hospital I took food into him otherwise he would have starved, we would have paid for better food given the choice, my thoughts are if you were at home you would have to buy food anyway.
