tiger pounced on a woman and pulled her into a dense mangrove forest in the Indian state of West Bengal, an official said.
The woman, her husband and a boat driver were trying to catch crabs in a shallow river near the Pirkhali Forest, when the beast jumped on her before dragging her into the wilderness, said forest official Nabin Chandra Bahunguna.
Forest guards searched for the woman after he husband reported Friday's attack, but found no trace.
