Kitty Litter

A wet cellphone can mean disaster – but not if you have some kitty litter laying around.  Dry out your phone by turning it off, removing the battery and SIM card, and putting it inside a sock.  Tie the sock closed, and put it in a container filled with kitty litter.  After a few days, check to see if there’s any moisture left on the screen.  If there is, wait another couple of days and check again.  If there’s no sign of moisture, see if you can get your phone to turn on.

Rice (uncooked) acts the same way. I keep Dudley's spare litter in a cupboard that had damp in it and now it's cleared up.

This is true ..I was there !

When I worked at a company near Norwich Airport, a lady in my office brought in what she thought was her packed lunch ... there was a loud shriek at lunchtime ...

WQhen she went to her car to come to work , she had put the used litter in one carrier bag to throw in the bin, and her lunch in another ...

You guessed it, she threw out the one with her lunch, and brough the one with the USED kitty litter !!
