Thanks to Wendy for posting the first edition of our newsletter on the site for those interested to read, when I last looked the figure stood at 78 having read it. To have that response is great but bear in mind that this is the first one and is more of an introductory one and the hope is that as we progress that we get sufficient input from our readers to widen the content and make it more interesting. It is hoped to be of general interest for Carers where ever they might be but obviously it will contain content applicable to Norfolk Carers. I had 29 years of Caring, have run a Carers Support group and website for 12 years, worked as a volunteer for Age UK Norfolk for 5 years and in my spare time am the Norwich locality rep which in turn means I am also a Norfolk rep. as well. For any Carers in Norfolk I have tied up with Sainsburys Longwater who are supporting our Carers week event and supplying the refreshments, we will be having a drop in for a cuppa and chat session on the third Wednesday of each month in the Sainsburys restaurant and a Carers advice stand in store on Friday 13th. June, as time goes on the events we are piloting here will be rolled out in all 10 stores in Norfolk. I think I have said enough for now, hopefully this will get read and maybe I could receive some feedback on our newsletter and who knows maybe bits and pieces to include in our next one, many thanks Blackdog2
