Prince Harry Just Sent Out His First Tweet, and It Was Adorable

Prince Harry has joined Twitter — well, sorta. The young royal sent out his first-ever tweet (and used his first hashtag!) in London on Thursday on behalf of Invictus Games. The tweet read, "Hope everyone will get behind #invictusgames. Great opportunity to support and thank the men and women who have given so much. Harry." Harry sent out the tweet during a press conference to announce that tickets for the Invictus Games 2014 will be going on sale. While tweeting from what looked like an iPad, Harry giggled and then proudly displayed the tweet for everyone to see. The Invictus Games will allow wounded and disabled servicemen and women to compete in Olympics-style games. Harry launched the event after he attended the Warrior Games in Colorado back in May 2013. Harry isn't shy about saying that he was inspired by the Warrior Games, saying back in March that it was "such a good idea by the Americans that it had to be stolen."
Harry's tweet made history, as he is the most senior royal to ever send out a tweet. His uncle, Prince Andrew, has his own personal Twitter account, and news from Harry's family (including Prince Charles, Prince William, and the Duchess of Cambridge) come from Clarence House's official account. Hopefully this all means that we are just one step closer to getting a selfie from Harry. Hey, Prince Andrew did it!
