Rita Page and Lynette Crook were jailed for seven months at Bolton Crown Court.

The two carers were secretly filmed assaulting and humiliating a brain damaged patient at a private hospital in Greater Manchester.

The footage, taken at Highbank Centre in Bury, showed Page, 68 and Crook, 33 smacking the young victim's legs and swearing at him as they changed his bedding.

The hospital - run by The Priory cost's £3000 a week.
