The internet could spark a home health care revolution – and it’s being planned in the West Country.

A group of health professionals, ‘telehealth’ equipment makers, care providers and older people, are working together to see how tablet computers can be used as hubs to monitor vital health information, and reduce isolation.

they seem to forget that many people may not be able to afford the cost of internet and computers.
if they want this to happen they should provide it free of charge.

YUp, plus there is no subs for a home visit as it can often pick up on other things .. e.g. some illnesses can cause a particluar odour ,,like

Liver failure can make a person's breath smell like raw fish
A bladder infection can make their urine smell of ammonia
Rubella can make sweat smell like freshly plucked feathers
