The sun bathes landscapes in its warm glow in these incredible photographs taken from around the world.
The 10 shots have been shortlisted from 1500 entries for the Velux Lovers of Light photography competition where entrants were asked to capture and celebrate daylight.
Six of the images were taken from across the UK from places including Cannock in the West Midlands and Bridport, Dorset.
The competition sees both amateurs and professionals photograph landscapes waking up and as days draw to a close.
The images illustrate the role natural daylight plays in our lives and pay tribute to sunshine and warm rays.
The lucky winner will win a trip to Norway during the summer when the country experiences 24 hours sunlight.
