Expensive anti-dust mite bed covers 'are a waste of money': Products found to be of no benefit to asthma or allergy sufferers

Expensive mattress covers used by millions of people with allergies are a waste of time and money, research has concluded.

The covers provide protection from allergy-inducing house dust mites and often recommended by doctors when faced with patients with asthma, runny noses and skin rashes.

However, an analysis of 24 studies from around the world has concluded that despite costing up to £60 they do nothing to help ease asthma or other allergies.

It must be awful to suffer this and then buy a useless remedy too.

Do different mattresses have less mites? 

Stan has asthma but I never bought  dust mite covers

I use my Dyson  attachment once a month to go over the mattress

I've never used dust mite covers.
