I find my local hospice charity shop and the salvation army shop are the cheapest. particularly re second hand books.
3 for a pound books in the hospice shop. 2.99 each in a big name charity shop.
guess where I donate and shop.
I badly needed a new pair of jeans, found a pair of nearly new per una jeans in the sally army shop for 4.00, and they didn't need shortning.

I always liked to support charity shops but the ones in our town are more expensive than primark and peacocks.

I think it is a shame they over price as the stock in my town isn't as described in the artical and designer. Some of it can be rather tatty.

I do get books from them they are good value.

and it is the same for the carer charities and yet carers struggle on the small amount paid for carers allowance, that is if they actually get that,.

Round here charity shop prices vary from shop to shop, but on the whole they great places for bargains, my favourite one is the East Lancs Hospice one in Clitheroe, where they have nothing less than Per Una  in quality, yet still reasonable, they don't sell household just clothing. Last year got a fully lined Country Casuals jacket for £6

Some Charity shops are more greedy than others, I've always found Oxfam to be more expensive than other organizations, we have several Charity shops in the Market town near us, also we have one in the village, it's like everything else you have to shop around to get the bargains.

I used to enjoy going and buying clothes from charity shops but lately they are getting more expensive than new clothes shops They have the clothes free when people donate so why expensive?  maybe its because.they seem more interested in finding ways to make more money for their pockets and what's left over then  use to help the needy    coffeex
