Bradford Royal Infirmary - bad report

Postby annie » 09 Jan 2014, 10:32

This is where Bill had his op. We found the day ward (ward5) had plenty of staff on both occasions he was admitted & the care was good.

Bradford Royal Infirmary does not have enough staff to provide "safe and effective care", say inspectors.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) said staff shortages, particularly in the accident and emergency department, had a direct impact on the hospital's ability to deal with patients.

It also raised concerns about the staffing skill mix in some areas.

Sounds like the day ward is better managed than the rest of the hospital.
