Starting on Wednesday 15th January 2014, Norfolk Adult Education will be starting a new weekly drop-in session at the Vauxhall Centre in central Norwich, where people can learn and share computer skills. This will be facilitated by Chris, a friendly and experienced computer tutor.
This is suitable for beginners, but also for people who may have specific gaps in their knowledge.
In keeping with all of our community-based work, the group will combine learning in a friendly, relaxed environment, with time to mix, socialise and support each other. In this group we will:
Connect: meet new people
Keep learning: learn from one another
Give: support each other and share our skills
As well as benefitting from learning more about computers, the evidence shows that joining groups, learning and giving are all good habits to improve and/or maintain your wellbeing. (See Five Ways to Wellbeing for further information and these wellbeing 'ways').
