A unique free experience on Tuesday at Norwich Cathedral.
There will be a rare opportunity to explore Norwich Cathedral at night on Tuesday evening (December 1).

Beautifully illuminated and with activities for all to enjoy, we think this is a great opportunity to mark the beginning of advent with family and friends, especially if you’ve not visited the Cathedral in a while.
As well as being free to roam the Cathedral and Cloisters at your own pace 6.00 - 9.00pm, organised activities include:
• The blessing of the outdoor Crib Scene and Remembrance Trees at 7.00pm (please gather at the West Front from 6.30pm)
• The opportunity to write a message on a star and hang on one of the memory trees, as an act of remembrance if you are missing someone this Christmas
• Free 30 minute tours with the Cathedral’s excellent guides, departing at 7.30pm and 8.00pm (please gather at the rear of the Nave)
• The chance to cosy up with a hot drink and mince pie in the Refectory Café
• The option of a spot of Christmas shopping in the Cathedral Gift Shop
Later in the evening more than 40 people, including Dean Jane Hedges, will also be taking part in The Advent Sleepout Challenge, sleeping in the Cathedral Cloisters in aid of the Church Urban Fund. You are very welcome to join in and Canon Andy Bryant promises fun, fellowship and, hopefully, some sleep! If you can’t sleep out but would like to support the cause you can give a donation at the team's fundraising page or send a cheque payable to 'Church Urban Fund' to the Chapter Office.
Thanks for reading and see you at the Cathedral next week!
