NSFT set to go-live with new electronic patient record system
As you may be aware, Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust will be moving to a single electronic patient record for secondary mental healthcare, Lorenzo, on Monday May18.
We will become the second mental health Trust in England and the 14th NHS organisation in the UK to use Lorenzo.
It will replace four of our electronic patient record systems (ePEX, iPM, Maracis and MH CareNotes) as well as paper records, all of which will remain accessible in a read only format. Existing paper records and any new paper correspondence we receive will be scanned-in to create a complete electronic patient record for each service user.
Your care and safety is at the heart of everything we do at the Trust which is why the implementation of this new system is essential. It will enable our clinical teams to keep all of your health records in one secure place, ensuring that those looking after you have quick and easy access to your information and more time to spend on delivering care.
If you have any questions on Lorenzo then please refer to the ‘Information for Service Users’ guide on our website or contact the programme team directly via Lorenzo@nsft.nhs.uk.
