Reading Well Books on dementia and self-help

Postby chenrezig » 16 Feb 2015, 17:58

How many of you have heard of Reading Well?

I dropped off some books at the library in the city and they had a new display of books for people with dementia and those who care for them – they are part of the “Books On Prescription”.

You can find out more by following this link to Norfolk County Council which also gives info on “reminiscence kits” which are designed for those caring for people with dementia or communication difficulties

This link takes you to the list of books available from Norfolk Library about dementia

There are also a number of self-help books

*If you don't live in Norfolk, it may well be worth contacting your own library service where you live as they may have a similar scheme ?
