How we manage care and caring in the face of demographic change is moving centre-stage across the globe. The last of these events, the landmark 5th International Carers Conference held in Leeds, was attended by over 400 participants from 22 countries.

This conference will bring together decision makers, practitioners, policy makers, researchers, health and care service and technology providers to share expertise, experience and practical solutions across four key themes:

• Health, social care and well-being
How do modern societies and economies manage care in the face of demographic change and more mobile populations?

• Combining work and care
How can we support people to manage their working and caring lives, contributing to economic and social sustainability?

• Paying for care
How can we share the costs of care between the individual, family, community and the state? How can we ensure there is a vibrant market for care?

• Technology-enabled care and support
How can new technologies support the delivery of care, transform the lives of individuals and families and drive economic growth?

For organisations who may not be able to meet the costs of more than one delegate place, a broadcast licence is available to enable more than one person to participate remotely in the conference. Main plenary sessions and the plenaries for our four themes will be filmed and webcast live on the internet across all three days. This means that from all over the world, individuals or groups can log on to the conference website and watch live video and even submit live questions as the debate unfolds. After the conference, the videos, podcasts and documents from the event will be hosted on the conference website for repeated, unlimited access, to be used for example for team development or training. This gives your participation a much broader reach and a much longer shelf life.
