Still in dispute

Postby Misspears » 17 Oct 2014, 18:38

my mum had been in a nursing home for nine months, she had been paying eighteen hundred pounds a month.

In April when mum needed to go upstairs for extra care they said they wanted an extra £75 a week, which we refused
To pay because they did not inform us,we had sent the home three letters all recorded delivery asking for the contact
They said we had signed,we always asked for a copy of whatever we had signed and we know we had not signed anything for an extra £75
The commissioner for the nursing homes is taking the matter up,he is 100 per cent certain we will not have to pay.
I feel sorry for some elderly wife/husband who might receive a bill, and think they must owe the bill and pay it

Sounds like they are just trying it on, as if you haven't had enough stress with the sad death of your mum, I hope you get satisfaction.xx

I also think they are trying it on, sounds like they can't produce the alleged signed form anyway, you can always go to your local Age UK should you need some advice.

It's terrible you and your family are having to go through this  hu**** hu****
