Opinions sought from area’s elderly

Older people in Burnley are being asked to have their say on how the recession is having an impact on their lives.


It is hoped that the survey will show Lancashire Fairness Commission whether they have the services and support to help the older generation work, enjoy retirement or play a full part in their local community.

Questions will include whether the economic climate has made older people feel more lonely or isolated, has affected the support they need to live in their own home for longer, or has meant they are no longer treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
