BT are reporting an increase in phishing emails targeting their customers attempting to gaining personal, financial and BT account information.
BT is advising customers to be suspicious of any email claiming to be from BT that:
Asks you to ‘verify your account’
Has an unknown address or 'undisclosed recipients' in the 'To' and 'From' fields
Asks you to provide personal information such as bank details, addresses, passwords and usernames which could be used to commit fraud or steal your money
