We are proud that Carers Trust is partnering with The Rank Group Plc, owners of Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casino to launch the Rank Cares grants programme for Carers across the UK.

This multi-year partnership will generate funds to give Carers access to desperately needed breaks and providing essential equipment needed at home to support caring responsibilities.

Recognising that Carers make enormous sacrifices, often putting aside their own education, careers, social lives and even their health, in order to care, The Rank Group Plc are committed to raising funds for Carers across the UK.

This partnership can make the challenge of being a carer that little bit easier, help stop people from breaking down under the strain, and find ways to cope with the challenges of their situation. This is why the Rank Cares Programme is so important. 



Rank Cares Grants Programme

All the money raised will go towards delivering the small grants fund and these will be available through our Network Partners:

Essentials Fund – will mean that carers will be able to apply for grants towards the cost of vital equipment such as washing machines, cookers, fridge freezers, or even a bed so that they can get a decent night’s sleep – assisting Carers with their caring role and make daily life a bit easier.

Take a Break Fund – will give carers time out from their caring role to relax, do something for themselves and recharge their batteries.

Inspire to Be Fund –will enable carers to learn new skills that will assist them in their caring role or help them to return to work.



Fundraising and Volunteering

Throughout the year, The Rank Group Plc's 10,000 employees will be holding many fundraising activities  and events including: raffles, bake-offs, leg-waxing, Rock ‘n’ Roll Bingo, tombola, karaoke…the list really is endless!  We hope to raise funds that will change the lives of Carers through access to grants.

Many Rank employees across the UK will also be showing their support for carers by volunteering to raise awareness and providing support to their local Network Partners Carers Services.
