A carers poem

Postby wendy » 19 May 2016, 15:59

"A frail and unwell lady, who really can't do much.
Who only wants a friendly ear and just a caring touch.
Off down to the shops we go, people stop and stare.
Yes she's slower than most at times but they don't really care.
This makes her very conscious and more worried than before.
Will also make things difficult to get her out once more.
I wish that all these people would think about what they do.
I'd very much like to say them - one day this could be you"

A very poignant and personal poem, based on my experience with my mum today.
