Woke up to a cold wet cloudy morning, it's a wrap up well day today here in not so sunny Norwich. Mind we can't moan too much about the weather as we have had had some surprisingly warm autumn days.
Thinking of you all and sending each one of you much love n a hug
Liz xx

It has been very wet today, but thankfully not as cold as yesterday ... My portable heater broke down yesterday so I had to pop into the city today and get a new one - I got a portable, oil-free radiator from Argos using my trusty shopping trolley and some of those bungee cords -lovely and warm.

Hi Pam,
I have a little oil-filled radiator that was a pressie to warm my small bathroom up but I dont't use it too much as I am not in there long enough in the morning, and if I am having a shower that warms that bathroom up very nicely.
With the new radiator the meter does whizz round but after getting pneumonia a few years back I have to be careful when we get the really cold wet weather, and also make sure that flat is warm to keep the damp away. My lounge is 17 feet by 10 and it does heat it up quickly, so once it is warm I turn it down just to keep it "ticking" over till I go to bed. I make sure I close the lounge door when I go to bed so that keeps it warm overnight
I have a blackout blind in my bedroom as there is a security light out the back so I can sleep. I keep that and the curtains closed to keep the heat in on icy days. I have also made myself four draft excluders for the bottom of the doors from two charity pillowcases (25p each) and some old bath towels I was going to throw out.
xx Liz

Hi Pam,
No, not this year, I just haven't had the time as they offered me a few extar hours at work (I work part time) so I have been working whatever they offer - all helps with the bills.
