good afternoon,
I seem to get extremely tired with this cold weather and want to sleep all the time.
The handyman has been round and fixed my kitchen sink and did not charge. I am thrilled.
I have been interviewed by the press and they are coming tomorrow to take my photo.
I must wash my hair tonight.
love to all

My appt with the occupational therapist went well on Wednesday, I was there 2 hours. She custom-made me a rigid splint , to rest my thumb, by moulding it to my hand, & then she altered a soft splint to fit me for doing practical tasks

Had a lovely day out in Liverpool yesterday on the carer's trip, although the weather was awful, it was only 2 degrees but felt much colder by the Mersey & the rain was relentless!! I went in the Tate Liverpool to see the Matisse exhibition, although I enjoyed it, I was a bit disappointed as there was only 14 on show & only one of his later ones when his sight was failing.
Afterwards we went to Jamie Olivers & had a lovely meal and dessert with a nice glass of white wine., after which I treted myself to a new lipstick in John Lewis
I didn't get home until 7pm, I was shattered , I set off at 9am! The traffic was really bad coming back& we had to make a detour to Blackburn Hospital to drop off a carer who , sadly, had a message to say her husband had been rushed in there with pneumonia

Hope you all have a reasonable day, the weather here is awful high winds and rain again

Good morning, we have some blue sky today, but it is very windy.

Bill had a fall in the bathroom last night, he grazed his head, arms and knees, he was lucky that he didn't seriously injure himself. Good job I was upstairs at the time. He is ok this am, but a bit sore.

My grandson, Callum is having a weekend away with the Sea Cadets, he was really excited at the prospect last night, it is the first time he has been away from home without the family . Hope he has a good time.

Hope you have a peaceful day

Hi,

Annie, glad Bill is okay. I think Callum will enjoy himself.

Going back to 1942 when dear Dad was in the Sea Cadets - he and his chums went out on motor torpedo boats off Lowestoft for rides. The cheekiest thing he did was being in his Sea Cadet uniform (no cap badges as was wartime) him n his mates used to sneak into the NAAFI cafe in the basement of what is now the third biggest Marks n Spencers in England as in their Cadets uniforms they got mistaken for boy sailors and got cheap tea, coffee n snacks!

Been out to Great Yarmouth today and found a little fabric shop in one of the rows, treated myself to some polycotton to make something for the flat - have an idea or two, just what to decide on, I am thinking maybe some heart-shaped bunting - I will make a short bit from some scraps first before I start proper.

Hope you have all stayed warm n dry as it is getting a bit chilly here now..

Hope you have a good day

Good morning, it is wet and windy , as forecast. I have some chores to do this am & meeting Linda at her new house, she has recently moved into an adapted house, as she is now a wheelchair user, she has fibromyalgia and ME. We met at college with Yasuyo & we all became firm friends. Linda went on to uni to do her art degree & she is now a sculptress.

Hope you have a good day

good afternoon,

I did some shopping this morning and then my hairdresser came and she has given me a different style.

I do like it, but dont know if I will be able to keep it looking so nice.

I have done loads of washing and the strong winds have helped to dry it, but not all of it.
Last week I got a good deal from BG and when I got an email from them a few days ago it was for more money than what they had said. So I phoned them and they had made a mistake and have now put it down to £50 a month. I have the price set until 2018.

have a nice evening, Did you see the retirement programme about India last night? It was very good.
love

good morning,
I think I told you that there is a piece about me in the local magazine, I have not seen it yet, but a friend who used to live near me when my children were small, just phoned.
It was lovely to speak with her and she said some lovely things. We have many memories of when the children were born.
It is a lovely sunny day here so I have cleaned my drains.
love to everyone

Good morning, we have a full-blown storm raging this am, just when you think it can't get any worse! The council had an article in local paper this am, saying they would start collecting all the sandbags today, but they will probably have to rethink that now if this rain continues.

I have some shopping to do, but think I will put it off until tomorrow
Stay safe

Good Afternoon, got blown to the village and back and nearly lost my hat a couple of times, do hope it calms down. It is very tiring trying to walk in it.
