I was ok at the hospital and have to go back in February.
Today I visited my GP and have to go back in January.

Good Evening, glad everything was ok at the hospital Wendy and you do not have to go back to either the hospital or drs till the New Year. It has been sunny here but bitterly cold, went out for lunch, appetite not good, as anti-biotics upsetting my tum. Have received an appointment for the hospital for the 22nd December with my consultant, to check out the lump on my scar.

Glad everything was ok Wendy,
Got my shopping done at Morrison's with the help of a
good friend Roger who pushed me around in a wheelchair,
it seemed rather strange after always being the carer, but really enjoyed the pampering.
hope you all had a good day. Ireneexxx

Good morning, Irene arrived safely yesterday.

Today I have a performance with the choir in the market square & then M&S. Irene is collecting for charity for us. After that we shall have lunch out & do a bit of Christmas shopping

On my appt at hospital on Thursday, the consultant told me (as I suspected) that the joint was indeed bad enough to require surgery, however, I was disappointed to learn that there have been no advances since I had the other one done 10 years ago, that means, no prosthetic bone to replace trapezium, so basically the same op, brilliant , it works in that I have had no pain on that one for 10 year, however, it means 3 months recovery tiem and a further few months rehab, more or les 12 months in total & I am right-handed - daunting when you are a full time carer!!
What a dilemma, he did offer an alternative - steroid into the joint, a custom- made splint from OT. He said if the injection worked it could give me a few months respite, if not then it has to be surgery. I chose that option to give me some space. He said I would see OT within a couple of wks & inj in 4-6wks

Hope you have a good day

Good Afternoon, we had rain this morning, went to the village, popped into the post office, when I came out, it was snowing heavy. It snowed for 4 hours, we now have 2 inches of snow and the roads are chaotic and all the banks into Whickham are closed.

Good morning, we have a deep frost here, after the appalling day yesterday with torrential rain and sleet.

Our performance in m&s and the market square went down really well & we raised a lot of money for the local hospice Pendleside. It was so cold though!

We bottled the blackberry gin and rosehip gin, tastes lovely - hic!! - well we had to sample it!!!!! lol. I made my mincemeat last night & have started the mincemet slice off this am

Of to church shortly & here is a concert at church this afternoon, but not sure whether we are going yet. Iren goes home today

Quite chilly here, thinish cloud.

Have to finish my wrapping up to day. Have finally finished my Xmas knitting ! Just cake to decorate -having a job finding yellow marzipan, all the shops seem to have white - just not the same.

Keep warm everyone

Good Afternoon, it is sunny but cold here, the snow and slush has frozen, so it is now like a skating rink. Took Milo on a short walk, as it is so difficult to walk on all this ice.

I met Liz and Barry in the city today after I had done some Christmas shopping and we had a Christmas lunch.
I wish you could all have been there.
It is not cold here.
Then I came home and had a rest and wrapped my presents.
love to all

I almost forgot, I have been busy buying laptops which are wanted by carers in Norfolk.
They may even get them before Christmas.

Good morning, it is grey and miserable here, but at least no frost this am. Had another difficult morning trying to chivy BIll into getting ready for his chiropody apt, despite me fibbing & telling him it was earlier , we were still 10 min late, it really stresses me out.
I got all my pressies packed up last night, just a couple of little extras to get now, that was a relief!

I got another batch of jam done yesterday, blackberry, cherry and raspberry. Another 2 lots to do & wil, have cleared all the excess fruit in freezer, to make room for Christmas stuff

Hope you have a good day~Love anniexx
