Everywhere is covered in snow, but it will soon go. I cant make my mind up whether to go out or not. I will get dressed and then decide.
I watched IMAC and then had a good sleep.
I see Ross has put a rude message in my little office, he has written on a slate.
What are Bollocks?
have a nice day

Good evening folks

Hubby is now in bed so I am hoping for a restful night - well we live in hope!

Dismal weather here today - very cold and hardly any daylight - lights on all day.

I was a little shocked to receive our first Christmas card today. This seems way too early I think. I'd better get a move on and, like annie, make a start on writing our Christmas cards.

Good afternoon, it is cold wet and windy here, thoroughly miserable weather. I got my nails done this am & Paula came for lunch & we went to a pamper event for people with long term illnesss and carers. We had neck shoulder & head massage, hand and arm massage &left our names & they will make us 4 free appointments for massage or reflexology. Isn't that fantastic. We were also treated to a brew and home-made cake!!

I have also had two Christmas cards, as you say Daisy it is a bit tooo early yet!!! Hope you get your peaceful night, take care!
Hope you have had a good day

Two good bits of news at work today, one being that "Policing, health, education, international aid and defence budgets protected" in the autumn statement, the other I can't tell you about.

A little while after the first bit of good news ................ the one I can't tell you about .. someone in the office shouted "there's a double rainbow!" We all downed computers and paperwork and went over to the window and looked out - amazing colours.

A few jokes flew round the office about rainbows being a sign of hope (Noah and the Flood).

The the second bit about the education budget being protected, another lot of rain and more rainbows..

Most of us decided that as things come in three's we are going to get lotto tickets tonight lol

This is a pic I took out the window ... it was funny seeing all the gulls lined up on the roof under the rainbow

I fixed my tv, I switched it off at the wall.
Did it this morning.
I hope Boris gets on alright. He is so gorgeous.
It is a grey day here but reading the good mornings does help, it is a shame so few do one.
Good morning to you and may your day be a good one.

It has been very quiet in the shops today in the city apparently. Some opened at 6am !! I think after last year's debacle, people have been shopping and ordering online to avoid the stores. I know I heard Asda mentioned on the news this am as one of the store chains that would be giving Black Friday a miss ..

I did pop into John Lewis and bought some material, just half a metre of some Xmas material. A lady who runs and does admin for the sewing classes is running some tasters for staff -there will be 8 of us having a go at either Xmas decs, or making flower brooches. Later, I think after Xmas another lady is going to show us how to make little gift boxes from recyled Xmas and birthday cards for jewellery. And I think I have been "volunteered" to do a knitting taster !

Crumbs .. where did that come from? It is suddenly gusting outside.

I should be meeting my friend as usual tomorrow, then it's off to the Castle to check out our knitting stall there as us knitters at the Forum have been asked to get involved -I got asked for a few items they could have to show off, so they have some of my knitties, a cake, my Egyptian Mummy and a father Xmas, and some mug hugs ... As long as they don't walk lol Mind I didn't loan anything that I wouldn't miss. "Granny Clanger" is almost finished now, I have some fiddly sewing bits to do then I will take some pics and post them on Chill

Sleep well all tonight.

Love n Hugs

Off to the city today, a chap has got in touch with Bruv who is tracing his family tree and is related to my grandmother. Bruv has met him a couple of times and the chap has sent us his tree and loads of family pics a lot of which I have the doubles of. We have arranged to meet in a cafe in the city as "neutral territory" and see how things go from there.

I have printed off part of the tree that only relates to his ancestors, definitely no living relatives, though on his tree he already has my cousins in Guernsey. I have also printed off some of the family pics for him.

See how it goes....

Good morning, the weather is awful out there, it is cold &wet with gale force wind.

I am off to Manchester later on with my daughter for her birthday treat, we are going to see Status Quo at the Palace Theatre & will be too late for the last bus home so we have booked an ovenight stay t the Brittania Hotel. We are going to have a pre- theatre meal in the city. We were going to go round the Christmas Market while we were there , but as it is all outdoors, that is no longetr an option
Hope you have a good day

I went to unusual shops and really enjoyed myself.

It was really awful traffic big jam going in from my way. I was late in to meet Barry though I got a bus before the one I usually get - a snail could have over taken the bus .. really !

From there it was up to Wensum Lodge for my sewing lesson, I didn't get my Xmas dec completely finished but I did have my first go on a dewing machine and managed not to sew myself to the fabric lol

I am off to finish it off now and when I do I will post a pic on Chill..

If you are watching Look East tonight the knit and knatter group I go to might be on it as they had a camera going round, though not in the afternoon. Our little stand was in the Keep -Sue brought along her spinning wheel which some children had a go at and took back a few inches of wool they had spun themselves.. A couple of pics I took of our combined display
