Evening all,
How can we be in June already!

Sorry you felt poorly Wendy. I hope you feel brighter tomorrow.

Took teddy to the vets today. He sang all the way there and back. He wasn't keen on his temperature being taken! Lol he has had his first jabs and was very brave.

had a lovely long walk this morning in the lovely sunshine. On the boat tomorrow so fingers crossed for good weather.

Thinking of you all

Good Evening, hope everyone has had a good day and have had some lovely weather. It has been sunny here with blue skies and a cool breeze. Mum frightened me this morning, heard her fall, I had left her going into the bathroom, was frightened she had hit the bath or something. Could not find her in the bathroom, she was in my bedroom, she had been looking out the window. Realised the neighbours were there and was frightened they would see her, so stepped back to quickly and fell. She hurt her leg which already has a bruise on from her fall in the lounge last week. She was on her feet by the time I got there.

Morning all,

Sorry to hear about you mum Rosalind. Poor lady. It must have shook her up and you.

Sorry I haven't been in recently. I have been having problems with alivia. She is really depressed and so teary all the time. The issues she is having with coping with our situation has got really bad. I have managed to get an appointment with the school nurse and pastoral care who are referring her for counselling g.i dint know why they don't publicise this. This is the first time she has agreed to talk to anyone but me so I am so proud of her for taking the first step.

feeling such a terrible mother. To have a 12 year old depressed daughter is so upsetting. I should have done more earlier to make things better for her. I really felt I have let her down.

thinking of you all

Good morning, how disappointing this am, when after the lovely sunny day yesterday, it is back to the grey this am. I actually wore my sandals yesterday for only the 2nd time this year

Sorry to hear about your mum's fall Rosalind, hope she does not suffer any ill effects from it.

Jane, you have not let Alivia down, it is not your fault ( I have pm'd you). I am glad she has agreed to getting some help. What support do you get for yourself, apart from on here, it is really important for your own sanity?

I have PIlates this am, taking Boris to vets for his 6month check and blood test, baking for the open day at church tomorrow and some shopping, I have a very busy 3 days coming up, so probably will not be around much

Good morning, it is sunny and very windy.
I am helping out at the Open Day at Church , I have made chocolate brownies, Clitheroe slice, chocolate & cranberry buns and carrot, orange and sultana buns, which I will deliver before 10, then I am helping out with refreshments later on.
Boris's had his 6 monthly check at vets yesterday, his hyperthyroidism is well under control which was good news, so he stays on same dose of vidalta, which I have ordered today from Petdrugs online, but she found that he has a heart murmur, casued by his condition & he has inflamed gums & several dodgy teeth, so will need an op. Poor lad, he does well really to say he is 14 in August
Hope you have a peaceful weekend

Good Morning, it is the same here Annie, sunny with a very strong wind, nearly blows you over. All your buns sound delicious Annie, hope all goes well at your open day at church. Sorry to hear Boris will need an operation soon. Have done the ironing and housework, so I am going to struggle against the wind and go out and treat myself to raspberry pavlova and a pot of tea. Mum has gone to Hartlepool with my sister, so mum can see her two sisters. Mum is going as she said she would go but says she does not feel up to it. She will probably go straight to bed when she comes back. Hope you all have a good day.

m309

what a hot couple of days! I gave got the back garden under control! I
m surprised I didn't have a few elephants and a lion in there it was so over grown

thank you for your support over Liv.

She has an appointment on the 16th with the school nurse who can sort refers and help. She has been a bit brighter today, I think the fact she will get help has made her feel more hopeful.

Sorry Boris will need an operation. Poor little soul. Sending him a big cuddle.

Thinking of you all

good morning to everyone,
I am off out to Blickling for lunch and it is a sunny day.
Can I please remind you we will be starting a topic for our holiday in the Bahamas.
This will be viewed by thousands of carers across the country, so we are depending on you to find pictures and ideas to do with holidays and the Bahamas.
We want you to enjoy yourselves.
love

it is in your hands now, how we will appear for our event for carers week.
I have done my bit advertising what we are doing all over the internet, so many carers will want to view what we do.
Your managers will be posting in the topic all week, but we cant do it without you.
So please help.
Anything at all to do with a holiday or the Bahamas.
jokes, pictures, videos. fun, memories, dreams.
it is over to you
Maureen will start the topic tonight.

Good morning, it is sunny and no wind so far

Our Big Sing went well yesterday in Albert Square Manchester, but the morning was freezing with that wind, when we were practicing I wore 4 layers & I was still cold, however, after lunch, the sun came out just on time for the performance, so we were able to take the layers off & appear in our water colours of sky blue for sopranos, purple for altos, turquoise for tenors and navy for bass section.

It felt awesome to be part of a 3000 strong choir, there were singers from 48 choirs across the northwest . There were 7 of us from Carers Chorus I definitely want to participate next year. The crowd seems to love it & the buckets were full of cash for the charity ( We had already raised over £6000 prior to the day), every singer pays £15 to take part & that amount provides clean water for one person in Africa for life apparently

Originally we were supposed to practice in the Town Hall (apparently they did this last year, free of charge ,however, this year, they wanted £1000 to rent the room for 2 hours. Isn't that disgusting, as it was for charity? That is why we had to practice outside .

Not much planned today, I am exhausted after yesterday
Hope you have a good day

Good morning , it is cool but sunny,
I was shattered last night & went to bed at 9pm! Feel better this am.

I did some hacking back in the garden yesterday & put the bracket up (with some difficulty|) for my hanging basket.

I hope to get to the garden centre this week to get my plants, fruit & veg, they will have to be part grown, as it is too late to start from scratch. It has been far too cold and windy to do it so far, I normally have everything planted up & well on the way by now.

I got a £10 voucher from our Carers Contact, to be used towards a massage, so going to try and book a hot stone.
Hope you have a good day

I have not felt very well for a couple of days and last night I was poorly. I am looking after myself and I have rested all day today.
Feel rather posh as the gardener has cut the lawns, and I am just sitting here.
I wanted you to know, that I have to put the heating on for awhile, can you believe it in June.
I have had the last bird on my tablet and it has been lovely to be able to watch it trying to fly at the same time as watching Springwatch.
love to all
