I remember years ago we had one of these..
Dad used to work with asbestos at Laurence and Scotts (a local engineering company in Norwich), he worked a a winder, and sometimes the workers would throw pieces of it at each other like they were throwing a ball. I know after he retired from there he had to go for X-rays every two years as a check as he had industrial plaque on his lungs..

My mum had one with the iron plate made form sbestos, we didn't think anything of it in those days
