We have had a sunny day with a cold breeze, but it is raining heavy at the minute. Mum went to bed at 3pm, she is going to bed early most days, as she is so tired doing nothing, she really worries me. Hope you have a good rest Wendy.

I have had a worthwhile day doing some paperwork for chill and then went for lunch at blickling. It was lovely and the desert was rhubarb cobbler with custard.
Then came home and after a rest I have managed some gardening.
Now settled in for the evening.
Hope you have a nice evening

Evening all,

had a lovely day. Liv and i went to her teams cup final. They won the championship! It went to penalties and was very tense! I was thrilled Liv wasn't in goal as the pressure would have got to me! She desperately wanted to be in goal as she loves the pressure! They all got a trophy and celebrated at a team mates house. So thrilled for them they have played so well all season.

am had a ball last night. It was brilliant apparently but due to hangover very little details as yet! She didn't finish until 6AM! Lol

sounds like you had a nice day Wendy.

Thinking of you all

xx

another winters day here in Norwich. I am up early to meet the men delivering my new fridge freezer.
Try and look at the paper today, there are loads of interesting things, but I haven't the time to put them on chill as well.

Good morning, it is cold and windy, but at least it is fine at present

Had a bad night, so going to have a fairly quiet day , so that I am fit for choir tonight, not many practices left now before \sing for Water & need all the practice I can get !! lol

I went mad yesterday & baked all afternoon, made, chocolate & cranberry buns, fruit and veg buns, lemon drizzle, and Clitheroe slice, so freezer is now stacked ready for when Irene comes on Friday, she is staying 12 days this time, so I am really looking forward to it

Wish you could all come and share some cake with us!!!

sorry to read you are not too well Ann, I hope you feel better by now.
I have been phoning Miss Pears, but I am beginning to think that she may have gone away.
All day I have been working on our accounts and I really don't like the job. Everything is ready to pop in the post tomorrow, but i have the yearly accounts to complete another day.
I am going to try and pop into the garden to relax.
People keep phoning me today for laptops.
love to everyone

Good afternoon, sun is now out but we have had quite a few down pours all afternoon, another day my grass didn't get cut.
I've had my sewing machine out this afternoon for a change to do odd bits of mending.

Your cakes sound lovely Annie, what is a Clitheroe slice like? 6-== 6-== 6-==

Clitheroe Slice is a tray bake cake. I got the recipe from a lady in Clitheroe & it dates back 100 years. it has sultanas, cherries and walnuts in , sometimes I vary it, using apricots, raisins, pistachios, cranberries. It is delicious

I have got my family coming to stay, so I am busy getting ready, and we have 4 carers waiting for laptops.
On Saturday we are having a party, can you believe it is a European Song Contest.
I have got to print things out from the BBC website and buy food from Austria.
All we can think of is hot dogs and apple struddle, so any suggestions, please.
love to everyone.

Good morning, it is cold wet and windy.

Had a fab time in Manchester, yesterday, our meal at Annies was superb, I had sea bass, crushed new potatoes with peas, broccoli and sugar snaps, followed by Fizz Bomb - a lovely choc mousse smothered in dark chocolate (obviously named after Fizz on Corrie -) - Annie's is owned by Jennie McAlpine & her partner. & a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. Dirty Rotten scoundrels was wonderful - great music and lots of belly laughs, it is so funny, especially Mark Benton . It kept me smilling all the way home.

My friend Irene is coming this am, she is staying 12 days this time - I am really looking forward to that. We are meeting Yasuyo for lunch today at the Roaming Rooster,

Just some cleaning and shopping to do this am before Irene arrives

Won't be around as much as usual while Irene is herer

Hope you have a good day

Good morning, it is cold wet and windy, it feels more like February, not end of May. We have no plans for today, we have been to church this am & I am making roast ham and cauliflower cheese for tea.
Hope you have a good day
