charities annoying

Twice this week in town a charity stopped me to ask me to sign up to a regular donation,
and twice this evening another charity called at the door for same, at 6.00pm and 8.00pm.
I feel sorry for the person trying to earn a wage but this is not acceptable particularly for the elderly.

Definitely not Honey .. I had one last week knock on the door .. in spite of a notice saying no cold callers.

I pointed out my notice,by my letter box and buzzer, told them I wasn't interested and shut the door. Yhey then shoved a leaflet through the door - the cheek! I heard the letter box go, so I quickly opened the door as I knew they had to go down the stairs and chucked it overt the balcony at them..

.. I have now done a bigger notice ... with the election coming on I will have even more wanting to knock on my door

Another thing that annoys about charities, once you make a single one-off donation, they bombard you with begging letters and telephone calls to set up direct debits, & the callers are often really aggressive & do not understand the word NO

These charities are very persistent and can be very annoying.
