Co-Op Divi ...

Did you know that you don't get all of your Divi?

Unless you opt out your divi is automatically rounded down to the nearest pound, not the nearest 10p or 50p

I have just found that out by chance. They automatically assume you want to hand over your divi, as soon as you sign up for a Divi Card you have agreed to "donate". They assume consent, I would much rather they asked if you would like to donate part of your divi ..

You might think I am being stingy but what I object to is the fact I have a divi card for a number of years and have only just found this out .. seems to have been kept quiet ? I support a number of charities and various organisations like Chill, my Door-to-Door minibus, PACT, AGE UK, various regular shoebox appeals, and taking stuff into various charity shops etc. in one form or another.

I have found it takes a heck of a lot of hunting round on their website to find out how to opt out - like they have made it hard on purpose. I have now opted out ... tthis is the link for the East of England

Cheeky co-op, I haven't used the co-op for many years, by the sound of it I'm glad I don't.

Do you know how long it is before they take your money.
In grandmas day I know it used to build up and I thought it was the same today.
