PC tablets

We are very busy with our recycled laptops and PC's but no one seems to want the free PC tablets.
We want these so that the carer can do banking and internet shopping on in their home.
What tablet do you suggest we get?
Do you like kindle fire? My daughter and son in law both have one, but still either use their laptops or phone to access the internet.

Which said the best small tablet was Samsung Galaxy8.4. My friend has a Kindle Fire & loves it. & Tesco's Huddle gets a good write up.
I would not like to just have a tablet,if I could only have one or the other, it would definitely be my laptop
