Dear Everyone,
Don't forget - this Friday (May 23rd ) we're going to sing at the Forum in the Norwich Millennium Library! The idea is to join people from other singing groups and surprise passers-by bursting into song with the Chatanooga choo-choo, Can’t help falling in love with you and Side by side, and then disappear into the café nearby for a cup of something nice!
There will be no advance publicity (because it’s a surprise) but it’s one of the final events (the high point?) of Dementia Awareness Week and we hope family, friends and supporters will come with us to show that living with memory problems doesn’t stop us singing and having a bit of fun!
So:
· Get to the Forum in comfortable time to sing at 11.00am on Friday, May 23rd Bring family, friends and neighbours – it’'s going to be fun!
· There will be lots of people you know, and someone will give you a sheet with the words of the three songs. There’s usually an exhibition, so mooch around a bit and look casual until it’s time to sing!
· Just after 11.00 you’ll hear a loud blast on a train whistle and that’s the signal to launch into the Chatanooga choo-choo. The keyboard will be plugged in under the stairs, so listen out for the intro and then sing fit to bust!
· It’ll only take a few minutes, and then we'll melt away into the café for refreshments while people try to work out who we were and what’s just happened!
So - no Costessey Centre singing session in May – come to the Forum instead!
Hope to see you then!
Much love,
Heather
