Deoderants

Postby JaneJ » 06 May 2014, 14:40

I wondered if anyone else has a problem with Dove deoderant?

Whenever I have used it  (and I love the scent) it makes me smell sweaty even though I have only just washed and put it on.

All other Dove products I have no problem with.

Maybe it's just me!!

I won't touch any Dove products anymore, I use to use  Dove Shampoo and it use to take the skin of the back of my ears.

Blimey. i thought they were supposed to be good for you.

"Love the skin your in" isn't very appealing when it drops  off! Bet the dyson won't pick that up!

I haven'd tried Dove Jane & I usually look for unscented as my skin is very sensitive, but I do find that some deodorants just don't work

What was your first deoderant?

Mine was "Mum" so when the girls got to the age of needing some I bought it for them too!

Nowadays I tend to buy what is on offer. The Nivea is good. Sam bought me Dove today as I said just get me what's on offer. Unfortunately it's dove!!

Do you stay loyal to brands your parents used?

Have to say I use the Dove spray as it is the only one that doesn't leave my clothes sweaty at the end of the day. I have a number of roll ons I have tried over the years.

I did try one of the £land ones once - it was labelled the same as the one I usually got at the time but was only £1 so thought I would try it - it gave me a rash under my arms !

I think my first one was Mum too, there was not so much choice in those days. I prefer the stick ones to roll on

I think mum was the one I started with, it was such a long time ago.

I can't use aerosol spray deodorants they aggravate my throat and my husband having lung problems aerosols are a no no they affect his breathing.

I haven't tried the Mitchem one. A friend said they had aluminium in them and was linked with breast problems.

I don't know if it's true or not but it was enough for me not to try it.

Do you remember shield soap they said you didn't need to use deoderant as it was in it. I loved the colour of it as a kid it was far fancier than the soap mum bought.
