you will have seen that I sent out a general email to try and encourage the members who dont visit our community to let us know how they are.
Well guess what, I have had loads of emails replying to me.
I just do not have the time to do this, we have a forum for them to reply on and let you know how they are, instead they have written long emails to me.
sorry, but I just can't cope.

had a rude email saying someone had died.  i have been trying to contact the family  for weeks after I heard she had died., and had no reply.
there is no need for rudeness.

There is no need for people to be rude like that, as for the members replying to you Wendy it is just not good enough, these people would benefit greatly from posting on the forum and where needed given support from members that many of us have benefited from when times are tough, it is their loss entirely.

May be the next general email should be telling people not to reply to you but to act as a member and share with the people who can support them,
Tell them you're not their agony aunt Wendy.

I have put in emails before to reply on the forum and then they dont bother to let us know how they are.
it is very tiring when they do it to me all the time.
maybe the next message I send out, I should say that I am having a tough time.

perhaps you should say that all replies to this message must be posted on the private members forum as personal replies to you cannot be accepted for this post.
naturally other private personal messages will be  unaffected.

How awful for people to be rude to you too Wendy. I am appalled.

I like Honey's idea. You will have to put something on the emails to stop all these replies noone could cope with all that.

Can you ask them not to reply personally as you are snowed under with emails & haven't time to respond to them all

i am having members just reply to the email and not even bothering to come on the forum.

I wouldn't bother sending the email then Wendy.

They have had chance to come on and join in. You can't drag them in and if they aren't enticed in with our lovely family and site then they never will.
You certainly do more than enough.

It is just a shame that they don't feel able to share with all of us as we are only to willing to help and support others in our position.

you can see how many have come onto chill, lots, isnt it a shame they dont want to learn about the internet, and I wonder why they have the equipment if they dont want to learn.

We send these emails out every now and then to keep in touch with carers and let members know what is going on or to ask if they are doing alright, also in the email there is a direct link to your chill4us in box, how difficult is that.

That is so true, you wouldn't buy a car if you couldn't drive or wanted to learn how to use it.
I bet there are thousands of computers in cupboards gathering dust for the sake of taking a few lessons to learn the basics.

Surely if they are answering the e-mails they are using the internet or am I missing something here. Just can't get my head round people like this, love Berniexx

When I send out a general email, I always put from the Chill4us Team
if it is a personal message from myself, I put Wendy.

these people have never posted on chill, and it makes an awful lot of work for me, if all they do is reply to my message but dont tell all of you.  They expect me to let you know how terrible things are for them.

I cant understand people like that,you shouldn't have to put up with rude people Wendy
