One of our members, although she does not come into chill,she uses facebook and lots more websites,  had her email hacked many months ago.
this is what was sent out to everyone in her address book.

Hello,

      I'm sorry for this odd request as it might get to you too urgent but due to the situation of things right now. I'm  stranded in Madrid,Spain with my family right now, we came down here on vacation and was robbed. The worst part was that  wallet, cash credit cards and my cell phone were stolen at GUN POINT, It's such a crazy experience for me, I need help  flying back home, the authorities are not being 100% supportive but the good thing is we still have our passport but don't  have enough money to get my flight ticket back home and some bills settled, please we need you to loan me some money.

Please let me know if you will be able to help me as soon as possible so i can tell you how to send the money. I await your urgent response soon.

tha22222 yes I have seen this scam before.

Yes,  she got the virus last year, many months ago.

I've heard of this scam before, been going around for a few years now,  you just have to be careful where you register, but if anyone receives such a email and read it through it's easy to see it's a scam by just the words cell phone and vacation.
