First can I say that I do not condone any abuse on anyone, but I really question why these women are bringing these accusations against famous people and why the courts are spending money on doing so?

If I think of all the times someone has pushed their hands down my trousers or tried to grab my breasts,against my will then I honestly cannot remember the names of the people who have done this.
Like others, I had to learn to cope and to live with it. 
I expect it still goes on today, and I feel so sorry for any person, male or female who is accosted and I hope they will do the right thing and report the matter at the time, and not leave it until 20 - 30 years after the event.

You do wonder if i is just mass hysteria brought about since the Saville debacle, why have they waited 40 years? it is difficult to prove anything after all this time. I am sure that some of these teenagers threw themselves at personalities & others did suffer unwelcome attentions. I agree with you Wendy, anyone suffering abuse should report it immediately & I hope they have the courage to do so

I do wonder about this as well .. it is all too much close to a witch-hunt for my liking ... the witch-hunts in Cleveland and the Orkney Islands  come to mind ..

I agree why did these people wait 30-40 years before they spoke out, I was listening to something on the radio about it and one of the accusations made was the person went up to her from behind and put his hands on her breasts, surely if someone did that to you you would turn round and knee them in the whats its or smack them in the chops not wait 30 years, I would imagine the accused would have a hard job remembering that after all is time.

I can't understand them waiting 30 years,if somebody had done that to me I would have slapped them in the face

Why ever would that 'girl' keep on meeting Bill Roache, if she says he had raped her.
It does not make sense.  She would not want to be alone with him,  and yet she went to isolated places to meet him.

If someone raped you , you would not want to see them again, it is very fishy!

She also said she did not have to struggle, it just happened, if you are being raped, you struggle.

I agree, if there is no struggle it is not rape and you would be petrified if you saw that person again, I believe these alleged incidents took place in the 1960's nigh on 50 years ago.

This subject is very difficult for me . Even at my age my parents still don't know about "my past".

so sorry to read this Debs, so would you bring it up in court today?
I wonder or would it be too painful for you.  Sometimes these horrid memories are left put away, and we have to chose what is the best to do for our own good.

My family came round today and they think all of them will be found guilty, so we just have to wait and see.
