question..... mature cheese and best before dates

I have a packet of unopened  mature cheddar cheese that went out of date 2 days ago.
the packet says use before 11th jan
now,
I am most probabably wrong, but I thought that mature cheese improved with age 45'
anyway
is it ok to use?

Personally, I would use it

I would use it, the ones to be careful of is the cream cheeses

Unopened it should be alright, I go by my senses if looks and smell right I'd use it, years ago we never had these use before dates to follow and lived to tell the tale.
