Good morning and a very happy new year to everyone.
Boris was put on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories yesterday for his abscess , which has now burst and is nice and clean and healing & the vet has doubled his dose of carbimazole & has to go back in 4 wks for another blood test, I am hoping it can be reduced by then. He seems ok, he has been for a play out this am

I am taking the decs down today, cleaning & ironing, then I am roasting some ham for tea. Hope you have a good day

Glad to hear Boris is on the mend Annie, taking Roly to the vets on Friday. Have changed my bed, waiting for my mum and brother Alex to get up. Just doing a buffet today, got all sorts of bits from M&S. Hope everyone who was ill is feeling better and everyone else has a good day.

Hello everyone. Cant believe we are in 2014!!!

I will be taking my decs down tomorrow. we had a lovely evening here last night. Just the four of us playing charades and watching a film. I even had a tipple t midnight!! No-one got up untiol 11.30 so i had a peaceful start to the year!!

Gammon joint is in the slow cooker for a lovely meal later. Wanted to go for a walk but we have lashing rain and wind!

Hoping Boris and Roly are okay.

Horrible weather for the start of the new year. Mark had lunch and went back to sleep and Dudley is snoozing on his radiator bed-what a life he has. Don't know if I told you but I got a Pandora bracelet for Xmas and just treated myself to a  cat in a basket silver charm. No other plans for the day except a bit of tidying up!

The weather has not been too bad today at all.

Funny start to today - got up not feeling at all enthusiastic about doing anything. Got myself out of the house by going to pay my Council Tax at the Post office rather than online, tea n roll on the Market, then a slow walk back to the bus stop, getting a few cards and an A5 diary in Card Shop on the way. When I got home I started clearing out old addresses in my filofax - using the diary (reduced from 1.99 to 98p in the sale as a refill).

On the minibus tomorrow, early start as no school run tomorrow, quite looking forward to getting back into a routine.

Beautiful day here so went for a much needed walk.

Sam is off out tonight so no doubt she will be tripping in  in the early hours.

Good Morning all, had Roly to the vets, he has arthritis in his right back knee, so he is on medication, May be for life, it cost £65. It is cold, dry and sunny here. Hope everyone has a good day.

Beautiful day here.  Taking the decorations down today. the kids protested to much yesterday so gave them an extra day! What a lovely mum!!

Sam is nursing a hangover and hoping for a text from someone she met last night (she did know him before I hasten to add!!) Only thing is she can't remember if it was her or my number she gave him!! I'm really looking forward to a text today!!!! do877

Good afternoon everyone. It's really windy here but I really needed to get out so wrapped up and came into town! When we first got Dudley I put him on a petplan as it's easier to budget a certain amount each month for insurance. The care agency we use are becoming more unreliable and losing our three main carers has been very upsetting so we are trying to decide whether to try a new agency or wait a few weeks and let things settle down.we have night care tonight and I'm looking forward to a decent nights sleep. Thanks Jane, I knew it would not be cheap, the vets never is, I do have pet plan insurance debz but my excess is £100, so my bill has to be more than that or I have to wait till I have made enough visits to the vets to accumulate this amount, also this is a new problem so I will  have to see if they will pay out. At the moment I am paying the insurance and the vet bills, feel well out of pocket.
