I wonder if this country could allow the unemployed to go out to the terrible disaster in the Phillipines.
Maybe they could be sent out (if they wanted to go) with no pay, but with shelter and food for 4 weeks at a time.
What do you think?

It is a good idea, but some of the rescue and recovery required for a disaster of this magnitude I think only experienced people would even begin to know where to start.
I think they would be best put to use collecting items and fund raising here to send out to the Phillipines.

On the news tonight they were saying they are desperately short of medical supplies, and I think of all the medicines that are destroyed in this country that could be saved and sent out to help those people.

I agree about the medication.
I found some old tablets of mine in an old handbag, and I cant bring myself to throw them away.
we are so lucky in this country.
