Postby Misspears » 30 Oct 2013, 12:09

My caring role as changed so much, since stan had a stroke,is balance wasnt brilliant, before he had this latest stroke, but where the stroke was it effect is balance even more,I have to keep telling him not to move without me,but he won't listen.
I'm just so thankful that he is still here, and could come home

It must be so frustrating for him not to do what he was able to before and frustrating for you that he doesn't wait for you when he moves.

Do you find it daunting when a new type caring is required? I remember when Lee had a skin graft due to 3rd degree burn to his leg and being so horrified that I would have to change the dressing.

When I read that some have to change cathers etc I wonder how do you learn to do this? How do you know if you are doing things right.

So glad Stan is home and hope he is enjoying your lovely pampering.

Love and hugs

It is difficult to cope with the increasing demands - whilst we are so thankful to have loved ones at home, it certainly is not easy!
