Good morning, it is a bright sunny start but forecast is awful, we are having a quiet day today & making a roast for dinner tonight.
We went to Boundary Mill yesterday & bought some new wine glasses & beakers. I have had a smashing time over the last week, I broke 2 beakers, one of my best wine glasses and a cereal bowl!!! Hope you have a good day~love anniexx

It's so nice to have Mark home. He woke for a drink and meds and is now sleeping peacefully with Dudley keeping him company!! I'm enjoying relaxing and of course not sitting in a hospital ward! Xx

Good morning, sun is peeking out, but forecast is same as yesterday wind showers an hail.

We had a really long walk down canal yesterday. grumps the cob was in a paddy again & flew out & bit me, then he waddled after me while I backed away for 50 yards, then turned to see Irene off, anyway she got past him & joined me & he slipped back in the water & followed us for a mile until we were out of his territory. I really don't think he likes my white padded coat!!lol

We are going to church this am & having gammon for lunch beforeIrene gets ready to go home.
She will be back in April
Hope you get a peaceful day

Good Evening all ...

Really windy n wet here at the moment.. I am watching Countryfile at the moment as they have Dunwich on tonight.

I have had a lazy/busy day if that makes sense.. I have done odd jobs round the flat, inbdetween sitting down and doing a few odd rows of knitting. I didn't switch the TV on til about 4pm-ish

The biggest job was using my steamer for the first time that I got last year! Only just plucked up the courage to use it lol I pulled up the carpet that I put down - I didn't tape it down, swept up, and did the hallway, the kitchen and the bathroom - twice each.

Tomorrow is put the carpet back, plus fill in the gaps as the first piece wasn't quite wide and long enough... I brought another huge bit home Saturday to finish off the hallway. There was me on the bus with a huge suitcase, and in it was the big bit of carpet my friend had given me to finish off. I think I may visit the charity shop across the road and get some wallpaper and make a pattern like you do with dresses and use it to cut the rest of the carpet to fit.

I hope you are all managing to stay warm n dry ...

Love n Hugs

Liz

Good morning, a chilly but sunny day here, we are delivering a free laptop to a carer in Norfolk this afternoon.

Hope you are able to get Bill to his appointment Annie goo@@@@

Liz you could easily make a mistake cutting carpet like that because carpet stretches and moves, it's workable for vinyl.

I had a shock today.
I phoned a carer to ask how they were getting on with their laptop and his wife answered crying her eyes out.
She told me he had died.
I have passed the information on to West Norfolk Carers, but it has been a shock for all of us on chill because we knew him.
I have been doing housework this morning.

Good Afternoon, it is bitterly cold here, have sunshine with snow showers and a rainbow. Hope you get Bill to the hospital Annie, sorry to hear about the man you knew dying Wendy, so sad. Have been out for lunch, which I enjoyed, have not felt too well for a few days, cannot put my finger on what is wrong. Hope everyone is having a reasonable day. Love Rosalind xxx

Good afternoon, it is sooo cold, that wind is icy!!! We did very well, got to the hospital early for a change & managed to get a disabled spot near the entrance (unheard of at Preston), I was truly grateful for that. It is all done, they have taken an enormous amount out about 5 ins long and 2 ins wide & he didn't need a graft. No doubt he will be sore for a few days. He has to go for a would check in 7 days & stitches out in 14. I am shattered now, we set off at 10.30 & only just got back at4.30!!!

ca99 so sorry to hear about your loss Wendy. What a shock for you.

So glad Bill went for the op Annie. was your heart in your mouth wondering if he would go? so glad it is done and hope he isn't too sore.

been busy today stocking the freezer. I cooked up a storm! a lasagne, cannelloni, shepherds pie, chilli con carne and a beef stew topped with sweet potato. Then I cleaned the kitchen, wrote shopping lists for Lee to order on line for when I get back. Lists for Liv of what to take to her Grandma's and menu's for my mum.

I intend to be all clean and organised before I go in on Thursday. it is the only way I can relax. Mind you I will be so shattered by Thursday they won't need anesthetic I will be fast asleep!!

hope all are cosy and warm with this barmy weather

Good morning, it is wet and windy.
I have some washing to do & this afternoon, I am going to a chocolate tasting session, by Hotel Chocolate, arranged by CarersLink.
I suspect |Bill will be in bed all day today after the long day yesterday & he will be very sore. I have to ring the surgery & make appts for his wound check and suture removal In 1 & 2 wks respectively.
My, you have been busy Jane, I hope you don't tire yourself out too much prior to your op ,, you will need all your strength to make a good recovery. Thinking of youxxx
Hope you have a good day

Good afternoon, it is such a cold day here, I went outside to fill in a hole in the front garden where we had a large conifer root dug out on Sunday and I was so cold I got terrible pain in my foot, the pain lasted for ages, thankfully the pain has subsided now, think I am in need of some hot sunshine sp0

Hope your poor foot is better now Mo...

Cooo, choccky session !! I am drooling just at the thought of that Annie lol

Today I realised I could just about see the nest box on the Cathedral Spire from work.. when the others in the office realised they were all trying to look too, I think I may take my binoculars in just to see how close a view I can get?

For tea tonight I have had a couple of fried eggs on a thick slice of white farmhouse bread and I didn't half enjoy it, afters was a slice of the same bread with a banana in it - coooo nice lol lol Just doing my washing now...

Getting a bit chilly now, I hope y0u are all staying warm? And enjoying your tea !!

Love n Hugs
