Good afternoon, today has turned out to be a wash out, it was same here yesterday Annie, warm and sunny and typical bank holiday today.

We did manage to go to Gressenhall workhouse museum for their village at war day, there was also a Dakota flypast which was done early due to weather conditions and I managed to get a few good photos of it.

I was lucky to see the Dakato from my house as it left the airport.
The rain has been heavy all day.

Good morning, a cold and dull day here, doesn't feel like August at all.

I've just spent half the morning sorting firefox out as it kept crashing so I've reset it now, hopefully it will be ok for a while now.

having a quiet day today as my saliva gland and lymph node are playing up again and pushing on my ear. Rather painful and feeling sorry for myself!

Just got the pre school haircut to have done tomorrow and then Liv will be all ready for her first day at high school on Thursday.

good afternoon,
I have been to the local Marks and Spencers and then had my hair cut.
A free laptop has gone out to a carer in Norwich and I am trying to sort out broadband for another carer who will have one of our laptops and lives in remote Norfolk.  It is difficult.
I ordered some special nail varnish from QVC and it has arrived today, so I am doing my nails.

Good morning , there is definitely an autumn nip in the air this am. It is cloudy & cool.

I have been awake since 5am, my dearest Boris decided to share my pillow, he had 3/4 & I had 1/4 & any slight movement on my behalf resulted in a set of claws in my scalp - wonderful !!!! I got up, let him out - hurray!!! However, couldn't then get back to sleep  - grhh!!!

I have my brother-in-law's funeral today & then instructing Colin onBill's care while I am on hol.

Afternoon all,

Cloudy but muggy here.

Liv left for school looking so smart in her new uniform. she was up at 6.30am bless her. I got up at 7 to make her breakfast but she had already had it and a shower!! Her friend called for her at 8.05am as per the schedule they had worked out to be at the next friend by 8.10 (less than 5 mins away but allowed for traffic and road crossing!!) At 8.15 therre was the rendezvous at the top of Wollaton road for the last 2 friends giving 15 mins to get to school (less than 5 mins from there but allowing for any unforeseen delays!!) I just hope she is enjoying it.

sam and I have been to Aldi as they have an offer on student stuff. Got her saucepans - lime green, frying pan - purple. Cooking dish -purple utensils -purple and lime green mix!! Very modern and coordinated1 Just hope they all havent shopped at Aldi or there will be a lot of kitchen equipment that matches!!

it brings all the memories back reading about them going back to school.
I hope you are alright Jane, but by now she will be back home, wanting food.
I agree about the weather Rosalind, it is really warm now.
Ann, whatever is the fat club, you aren't fat.
I have had a strange day, and tried to do some gardening when the rain stopped.  Also got lots of washing hanging on my clothes thingy, I must say I do like it now and I dont miss my washing line.
I have had lots of emails today about funding so I have been busy with those.
now going to get my tea ready.

Had a message from Lancashire County Council last night to ring them, don't know what that is a bout, just hope it isn't a review as I am not in the right frame of mind just now to deal with all that paperwork.

Hello my lovely chillers,

Liv had a wonderful day at her new school. She suddenly looks very grown up too. She was up at 6am again thjis morning and then hangs around for ages as she is early!! I did say she could get up later but this is her new schedule apparently!! She will be exhausted by next week with this early rising!!

Got to take her to town to have her new contact lenses checked before I can get her first proper months supply. She may only be 11 but she is so good at doing hthem and looking after them too. so proud of her.

having  a quiet day today. Off to town tomorrow with my friend for lunch then next week I am organising myself better to get more things done and scheduled properly so I have a better routine.

Glad you managed at the funeral yesterday Annie and there was so much support.

Good afternoon, I've had a busy morning, Derek's brother came round and chopped down the other conifer for us, I did the biggest one couple of weeks ago and put my back out so I'm glad he came and did that one.

I have washing to do, & lists to make for the carer for next week & then start to decant my toiletries. 3 more sleeps!!!

All my tomatoes are beginning to ripen, they would, wouldn't they just as I go away for 2 wks, they will be all gone by time I get back. This year is the first one I have had a bumper crop! Typical!
